What We Do

We are a small family farm located 10 miles east of exit 99 on Interstate 79 near Moraine State Park. We have been farming organically since 1998 and our farm has been Certified Organic since 2003. We have raised a variety of animals organically as well as grains over the years. We currently raise organic, grass-fed grass finished beef. Our goal is to produce healthy food to feed our family and to provide the same opportunity to other people. We raise our animals in a humane, healthy environment with the animals on pasture as much as possible. We do not use any pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, or chemical fertilizers.

Our philosophy is that healthy soils produce healthy crops to grow healthy animals to get healthy people. We believe that the more grass the animal can get the healthier they will be. Meat from animals that have a grass-based diet have lower amounts of fat, saturated fat, calories and cholesterol. They also contain higher amounts of vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, and health promoting fats called Omega 3’s and CLA’s (conjugated linoleic acid). 

Our beef is raised on pasture with a rotational grazing system. This allows the cows the best quality grass, the soil and plants to thrive, and us to provide the best quality product.

We sell to many people in the Pittsburgh area and have returning customers year after year.
